It's still amazing to me how cute and adorable you both are. You are very individual with each your own ways. Isara, you are headstrong and sassy and yet very vulnerable. Tamra, you are kind and headstrong and yet very self assured. So different the two of you, and yet so alike. It's wonderful seeing you both grow each day. And even though everyday in not the perfect day, it means that I get to spend this time with you! I love you to the end of the earth and back! One day, you will fly and find your own ways...but for now, we will learn and grow together!

In other news: I'm still fighting this terrible cold, which seems to be getting better! Yesterday, Trevis and I were up until 1am watching the full season 3 of DEXTER! Love that show!!! Isara is busy with 4H, and Tamra is busy playing baby and make believe. Still working on the December daily digital album, will have to post those later this weekend.

Also, excited to report that I have something Serendipitous for the new year...a new project!!! Details coming soon!

Tamra's Birthday Recap

In all the busy time the last couple of weeks, I forgot to post about our little journey birds birthday!!!

Some highlights for her was traveling to Sacramento to have a party at this pizza place that also had rides and games...kinda like Chuckee Cheese's but better-I think it was John's fabulous Pizza.

Later that evening we did more singing and opening gifts alongside Mor and her kiddos, Em, Rob and Little Man, all at Raj's house! It was kaotic fun! It was fun to spend the last couple of days together as a family before Mom and Dad left for India!

Tamra, went with me to the airport to say our farewells and we made the trip back home from SFO later that day.

Our sweet little bird is 4 years old!!!!! Time is flying by!

Mindful Mondays-I will Play...dough!

Really feeling thankful for my friends and family. Connections being made. Time being spent....

Like yesterday...it was a day full of crafty fun with Isara and me! I was going to go for a bike ride, but she kindly asked, Mommy can you please just cancel your ride and play with me. How could I say no to that face? In all honesty I should have woke up earlier and got the ride in, but I didn't and I can say that I am 100% gratefull that I slept in, because we had a wonderful time together, laughing, creating and just hanging out!

Isara said to me at dinner today, 

"The moon really is made of cheese...it really is."

Here she is diggin away at the Children's museum in SLO. Pretty cool place. My little archeologist!

And here is little princess Tamra, twirling like the princess she is while she played dress-up on the stage at the museum! She didn't take off that dress the whole time we were there. Then of course I proceeded to "loose" her while I went to the rest room. She was kindly found in the elevator by a museum staff member, as they heard the elevator alarms going off! She was checking the buttons!!!

School is back!

It was Isara's first day back to school today! On the walk there, she noticed that the air smelled rather fresh and promptly said, "I wish I could just eat the air!" 

She had a great first day and was even introduced in the class as this year's helper! This year's first grade is going to be so different and so good for her! 

After we left the school grounds, I took Tamra to the Library and she was very content to be hanging out with Mama! I was hoping to get her back home to get an early nap in...and that is exactly what happened! After reading her some of her books, I told her to close her eyes for just a bit and we would wake up in time to pick Isara back up. About an hour later, I woke up, did some chores and woke her up, refreshed for the afternoon!  I couldn't believe how well it went.

Now we are home, trying to stay cool (it's pretty hot for Los Osos).

I know there will be both good and challenging days, but so far we are off to a great start!!!!
